Illuminate's Dashboard Tiles are a widely loved tool since they are highly customizable per user. As such, this document will highlight a few common ISI tile setups by generic role, focusing in on the ‘what’ rather than the ‘how’ of the Dashboard Tiles. To learn how to create Dashboard Tiles, please view our Customize Your Dashboard Tiles help document.
This document will focus on generic roles and commonly set dashboard tiles for these roles. The majority of these tiles are created using the URL function, and all are set to open in a new tab.
Secondary/Elementary Site Admin
This setup highlights the most commonly used ISI and DnA reports in Illuminate for our Site Admin. Generic tiles, such as View Assessments, View Favorites, View Reports, and Search for a Student are joined by the additional tiles Student Profile, Missing (teacher) Attendance, Top Truancy Offenders, and The Board (scheduling).
This setup is typically reserved for our Front Office Attendance Specialist. This tile layout presents the most commonly run Attendance Reports in an easy to use format for your Attendance Specialist. This setup includes Take Attendance for Teachers, Mass Attendance Updates, Absence Reconciliation, as well as ADA specific reports such as ADA Checker and Daily ADA. In addition, this layout provides a direct link to the Attendance Manual.
This commonly used layout consists of links to features used on a daily basis by both Secondary and Elementary Secretaries. This layout has direct links to Taking Attendance for a Teacher, Student Enrollment, Student Schedule, Mass Attendance Updates, Missing Teacher Attendance, ADA Checker, Monthly ADA, and Favorites. This layout provides an excellent home page for busy front office staff.
This is another commonly used layout incorporating the typical features of the Counselor tab. This layout consists of the Student Schedule, GPA Ranking, Report Cards, Student Attendance, The Board (scheduling), Transcript (generation), Counselor Log, and, of course, View Favorites.
Focusing in on the key daily functions of most Registrars, this layout hones in on scheduling, enrollment, and transcripts. Specifically, this layout provides shortcuts to The Board (scheduling), Live Sections, Incomplete Schedules (report), Student Schedule, (student) Schedule History, Student Locator, Student Enrollment, and Transcript (generation).
For our generic teacher roles, there are only a few subtle adjustments made. Specifically, the order is adjusted so that Take Attendance is readily available on the left hand side, and also note the addition of both a tile for the Attendance Summary and Gradebook Progress Report.
