This document will walk you through the quick and easy way to create transfer terms. This process is required if you are importing transcripts into Illuminate for the first time.
Create Transfer Grade Terms, Edit Transfer Grade Terms, View Transfer Grade Terms
Creating transfer terms is a very easy process. It allows you to quickly create a place for your transcript data to be stored similar to the process of creating terms for your sites in Illuminate so that the data can be mapped to the correct grading period.
- Using Quick Switcher, type Transfer Terms. You can also navigate to Admin Gear and Terms (housed under Transfer Grades).
- Click Create Transfer Terms.
Term Name should match the name of the term in the transcripts.txt file. Term Type allows you to choose from any of the options listed in the screenshot above. It should match the term type in the SIS.
The Term Type must be unique for each Transfer Term you create. If you align the same Term Type to more than one Transfer Term, you will see ordering issues on the Transfer Grades page for a student. There are a number of Term Types for you to choose from and originate from the code management table with the same name.
- After clicking Save, you can view the completed transfer terms and edit (1) them as necessary from this same page.
