In Illuminate Site Management there is an option for Has Students for each of your sites.
![]() |
This setting is used to determine whether or not a site actually has students. Traditionally, all
school sites will have students but a district will not. Occasionally a district is accidentally
flagged as having students and then you wind up seeing double student counts throughout
Illuminate.
When Illuminate looks for students via typical student searches the first step in the search is
to check for sites that "have students". If you have closed sites or non-student sites (like a
district office) then make sure that Has Students = No.
As a general rule, if there is no roster data or no direct enrollment data for a site then Has
Students should = No.
