Legacy Item Bank is a permission-based feature and if enabled, will appear as option to create item in and assessments from. This article outlines 'what' a user can create in LIB, 'how' to create them, and 'where' to find them.
Befor You Begin
This article begins assuming a uses has already logged in to DnA for the first time. If a users has not, they may have to register with their email address and password.
What Can a User Create?

In Legacy Item Bank, users can create:
- Assessment (Standard Mode)
- Assessment (Quick Mode)
- Items
- Passages
Creating an Item or Passage creates a singular assessment feature. To use the item(s) or passage(s) created, create a new assessment.
Creating a New Assessment (Standard Mode)

- Select the Create tab.
- Select Assessment (Standard Mode).
- Enter the Assessment Details (Title, etc.) and follow each step (outlined at the top) through the steps of creation.
Creating a New Assessment (Quick Mode)
- Select the Create tab.
- Select Assessment (Quick Mode).
- Enter the Assessment Details (Name, etc.) and follow each step (outlined at the top). Once complete, the test will generate based on the standards/exclusions chosen.
This is a fast approach for creating assessments. Users will be able to select standards they want to test against. Furthermore, they will be able to set criteria for each selected standard. Questions will be auto generated based on the selected standards and criteria.
Finding Created Assessments


- Select the Assessments tab.
- Search for specific assessments by using the keywords in search bar at the top of the page.
- Select Search.
- Select the assessment title to open the assessment.
Finding Created Items

- Select the Items tab.
- Select a search filter to add filters.
- Select Search.
Use the Item/Passage Identifiers search field to search for individual items by Legacy Item ID.
