Users with the required permission have the ability to access several extra features when viewing an Ed-Fi assessment. These features include: viewing the Ed-Fi Information Report, Force Pushing an Ed-Fi Assessment to the OSD server, and Canceling the Force Push to the server. This article guides users through accessing and using these features.
Required Permission: Ed-Fi API Credentials
Where to Start
- Select Assessments.
- Enter into the search bar to filter for Ed-Fi assessments.
- Select an assessment.
A very general Ed-Fi summary. This is useful for verifying that an assessment successfully pushed to Ed-Fi and helps users cross check data between DnA and the Ed-Fi server.
- Select Administer.
- Select Ed-Fi Information.
The assessment menu may appear different depending on what type of assessment is being viewed. However, the steps to view Ed-Fi Information is the same.
The following information is included in the heading:
- Title: The assessment Title.

Assessment Pushed to Ed-Fi:
- Yes - if the assessment has successfully pushing to Ed-Fi at least once.
- No - if the assessment has either not been pushed or has not been pushed successfully.
- Ed-Fi ID: The internal Ed-Fi assessment ID. Useful for referencing the assessment in the Ed-Fi server.
- Update at (approximate time): Approximate date/time the assessment was updated in Ed-Fi.
The following information is included in the table:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Local Student ID
- State Student ID
- Import Student ID

Updated at (approximate time): Approximate date/time the student record was added to the ODS.
- It’s possible for a student to have multiple records in the log. One record each time the student’s data was sent to the ODS (i.e., if a student’s score gets updated in DnA ).
Since the Force Push to Ed-Fi ODS does not happen immediately, but rather during the nightly automated Ed-Fi pushing process, users have the ability to cancel the force push.
- Select Administer.
- Select Force Push to Ed-Fi.
