Custom Reports offer a large amount of data that can sometimes be tricky to find, especially when you are building a report from scratch. Below we've outlined where you can find some basic data that many users add to their reports.
Where to Start
Open any custom report from your list.
- Click Add Columns.
- Select Core Data.
- Click Update.
In this category you will find information like:
- Student First Name,
- Student Last Name
- Student ID (Local and State)
- Birth Date
- Primary Language
- Gender
- Current Grade Level
- English Proficiency
- 504 Status,
- Primary Race
- Special Ed Status
- Title 1 Status
- Homeless Status
In this category you will find information like:
- Teacher First Name
- Teacher Last Name
- Username
- Birth Date
- Gender
To avoid multiple rows of data per student when pulling in teacher information, you will also want to pull in columns from Class Rosters such as Academic Year or Roster is Current? to filter on.
In this category you will find information like:
- Academic Year
- Period Name
- Period Number
- Course ID
- Course Long Name
- Course Short Name
- Department Name
- Section Name and ID
- Section Start and End Dates
- Roster is Current? (This makes sure only the most up to date information is pulled.)
In this category you will find information like:
- Primary/Secondary Contact First Name
- Primary/Secondary Contact Last Name
- Primary/Secondary Contact Mailing Address
In this category you will find information like:
- Academic Year
- Site Name and ID
- Grade Level
- Enrollment Start and End Dates
In this category you will find information like:
- GPA Points
- Credits Attempted/Received
- Grading Period Start and End Date
- Grade Mark
- Course Long Name
- Academic Year
Under the Data Type if you choose Assessment, you can also locate all specific data related to any assessment you've created/administered in DnA.
Under the Data Type if you choose State Assessments, you can also locate all specific data related to any state assessment you would like to report on such as:
- CELDT
- ELPAC
- NWEA
- PSAT/SAT
- STAR
- iReady
