Where to Start
To create an Invitation click on Special Ed-> IEP Details-> Click "Select Action" Dropdown-> Click "Wizard Quick Resume"
Enter Adult Living Goal/Activity
1. In the provided field enter information about the student's desired living arrangements as an adult (e.g. with family members, live in an apartment, have a roommate, etc.)
2. Click Save.
Note: Clicking Save will automatically take you to a page requiring information about additional activities required to prepare the student for his/her Adult Living Transition Goal.
1. After successfully saving the Adult Living Transition Goal a green dialogue box indicating, "Transition goal saved successfully" will appear at the top of the page.
2. By clicking Yes or No, indicate whether an Activity is needed to help the student reach his/her Transition Goal.
IF Yes
IF Yes Is Selected From Above Step
1. From the drop down menu select the category to which the Activity best applies.
2. Describe the Activity in the provided field.
3. Document the Person/Agency Responsible in the provided field.
4. Using the Date Picker select the Timeline For Completion.
5. Click Save.
Note: Clicking Save will automatically take you to the Career/Employment Transition Goal page. For more information on how to enter Career/Employment Transition Goals see the "Enter Career/Employment Goal/Activity" section later in this lesson.
Enter Career/Employment Goal/Activity
1. In the provided field enter information about the student's desired Career/Employment as an adult (e.g. would like to work for the family business, would like to go into sales, would like to become a doctor, etc.)
2. Click Save.
Note: Clicking Save will automatically take you to a page requiring information about additional activities required to prepare the student for his/her Career/Employment Transition Goal.
1. After successfully saving the Carreer/Employment Transition Goal a green dialogue box indicating, "Transition goal saved successfully" will appear at the top of the page.
2. By clicking Yes or No, indicate whether an Activity is needed to help the student reach his/her Transition Goal.
IF Yes
IF Yes Is Selected From Above Step
1. From the drop down menu select the category to which the Activity best applies.
2. Describe the Activity in the provided field.
3. Document the Person/Agency Responsible in the provided field.

Enter Community Participation Transition Goal/Activity
1. In the provided field enter information about the student's desired Community Participation activities as an adult (e.g. would like to volunteer, meet with a social group, go to the park weekly, etc.)
2. Click Save.
Note: Clicking Save will automatically take you to a page requiring information about additional activities required to prepare the student for his/her Community Participation Transition Goal.
Enter Community Participation Transition Goal/Activity
By selecting Yes or No, indicate whether there is a need for the student to participate in an activity which will aid in the transition process.
IF Yes
IF Yes Is Selected From Above Step
1. From the drop down menu select the appropriate option (i.e. Adult Living, Daily Living, Functional Vocational Programming, Employment, etc.).
2. In the text box provided include a description of the Activity.
3. Indicate the Person/Agency Responsible for ensuring that the Activity is completed.
4. Using the Date Picker Icon indicate the Timeline for Completion.
5. Click Save.
Note: After clicking Save, you will automatically be prompted to add another activity in the respective area.
Enter Post-Secondary Education/Training Transition Goal
1. Describe the Post-Secondary Education/Training Transition Goal in the provided field.
2. Click Save.
Note: Clicking Save will automatically take you to a page requiring information about additional activities required to prepare the student for his/her Post-Secondary Education/Training Transition Goal.
By selecting Yes or No, indicate whether there is a need for the student to participate in an activity which will aid in the transition process.
IF Yes
IF Yes Is Selected From Above Step
1. From the drop down menu select the appropriate option (i.e. Adult Living, Daily Living, Functional Vocational Programming, Employment, etc.).
2. In the text box provided include a description of the Activity.
3. Indicate the Person/Agency Responsible for ensuring that the Activity is completed.
4. Using the Date Picker Icon indicate the Timeline for Completion.
5. Click Save.
Note: After clicking Save, you will automatically be prompted to add another activity in the respective area.
IF No
IF No Is Selected
You will automatically be taken to a Transition Goals summary page.
Transition Goal Summary Page- Add, Edit, Delete
1. Click the Add Activity link to add additional activities to the respective Transition Goal area.
2. Click the Edit link to modify a Transition Goal or Activity.
3. Click the View link to view the Transition Goal or Activity in "read only" format.
4. Click the Delete link to remove an Activity.
Note: You cannot remove Transition Goals, as they are a required portion of a Transition Plan; however, you may modify any goals by clicking the Edit button as well as add any additional Activities from the IEP Wizard Transition Goal Details page.
Next Steps
Review the IEP Wizard Transition Goal Details page to ensure that all information has been included and is accurate.
Once you have reviewed the Transition Goals and you are now ready to proceed to the next step in the IEP Process (i.e. Course of Study).
Click the Next button to continue to the Course of Study portion of the IEP. For more information on how to complete the Course of Study section of the IEP see the, "Determine Course of Study" lesson in this manual.
