This lesson will guide you through using the Warm Body Report. The Warm Body Report is used to help school and district administrators gauge real time student attendance during the opening part of the school year. The report draws on the number of students rostered into classes and deducts for any whole day or period based absences. The report can be run at the a variety of aggregation levels.
In order for the Warm Body Report to pull attendance at the Grade Level and Site Level options, there are two conditions that need to be met:
1. a section has to have attendance enabled
2. a teacher needs to be assigned
If the second condition is not in place, attendance won't pull at the Grade Level and Site Level options. Otherwise, if a section has no teacher assigned, you can disable attendance for that section.
Where to Start

1. Click on Attendance.
2. Select Present Student Aggregation Report.

3. Input your Date Range by clicking on the calendar icon.
4. Select the School Site(s).
5. Select the Report Type:
Present Per Site Per Teacher Per Period - Allows users to run the report for a custom date range and see total number of students rostered into classes, logged absences, and percentage present broken down by teacher and class period. Note: Absent count reflects the total number of students with all day absences.
Present Per Site Per Teacher - Allows users to run the report for a custom date range and see total number of students rostered into classes, logged absences, and percentage present broken down by teacher name.
Present Per Site Per Course - Allows users to run the report for a custom date range and see total number of students rostered into classes, logged absences, and percentage present broken down by course name.
Present Per Site Per Grade Level - Allows users to run the report for a custom date range and see total unique number of students enrolled into classes, logged absences, and percentage present broken down by grade level. Note that for this aggregation level in order for a student to qualify as present he or she must have been flagged as present under a whole day attendance system/ elementary or marked present for ALL scheduled periods under secondary/period-based schedules. If period-based numbers are desired the report should be run at the first three aggregations levels mentioned above.

6. Include Independent Study- The report defaults to excluding any sections marked as Independent Study (Live Sections > Edit > Independent Study). Users wishing to see their attendance counts factoring in independent study sections can check off this option when running the report.
7. Press Submit.
The report will display at the bottom of the page. Note you can click on any of the header arrows to sort the report based on that column (low to high, high to low, a to z, z to a).
Attendance Enabled: Allows users to see roster totals for any sections schools setup with no permission to take attendance in. In these cases roster totals will populate, but any attendance data will be marked as NA.
