On June 30, 2024, the Legacy Item Bank will be disabled for all organizations. There are 3 phases that will be implemented for organizations to successfully transition from the Legacy Item Bank to the new Item Bank prior to its deprecation. Phase 1 involves planning, communicating to all stakeholders, and system preparation.

Key Information
When your organization is ready to stop authoring/revising content in the Legacy Item Bank, have one point of contact (Admin, Assessment Coordinator, etc.) contact dnasupport@illuminateed.net, with the subject line "Request to Duplicate User-Authored LIB Items to NIB", requesting user authored items be copied into the new Item Bank. This creates a new copy of each item in the new Item Bank, which functions independently of items in Legacy Item Bank, and will not remove anything from Legacy Item Bank.
- Requests are processed in the order in which they are received - please allow for up to 2 weeks for this process.
- Inspect and Publisher content banks are not part of this transition, as most of these banks already exist in the new Item Bank.
- Support will notify the point of contact via the support ticket when this is complete.
- Have questions about the transition? Visit the Transitioning from Legacy Item Bank to New Item Bank FAQ to learn more.
Any additional items created/authored or revised/edited in Legacy Item Bank after the item duplication is run will NOT be duplicated into the new Item Bank automatically, and the same edits/authored items will need to be done in the New Item Bank manually.
Next Steps
Once support has confirmed the duplication is complete, assessment duplication can start in Phase 2.
