On June 30, 2024, the Legacy Item Bank will be disabled for all organizations. There are 3 phases that will be implemented for organizations to successfully transition from the Legacy Item Bank to the new Item Bank prior to its deprecation. Phase 2 represents a manual effort, where users across the organization duplicate and convert Legacy assessments into new Item Bank assessments.

Key Information
As part of Phase I, and prior to duplicating Legacy Item Bank assessments into new Item Bank assessments, it is highly recommended that a local district administrator submit a ticket to dnasupport@illuminateed.net requesting all teacher- and district-authored items be migrated from Legacy to the new Item Bank. Failure to do this will complicate the duplication process.
Once districts have completed Phase 1, as confirmed by the support team, users must duplicate their Legacy Item Bank assessments into new Item Bank assessments.
Visit Duplicate a Legacy Item Bank Assessment into New Item Bank for step-by-step instructions, or review the video above.
Have questions about the transition? Visit the Transitioning from Legacy Item Bank to New Item Bank FAQ for more information.
Once an assessment has been duplicated from the Legacy Item Bank to the new Item Bank, and the Legacy Item Bank has been disabled, we suggest users download the PDF of the Legacy Item Bank assessment to compare with the new Item Bank assessment draft. This allows an easy comparison to see what did and did not transfer.
Next Steps
Once needed assessments have been duplicated, the closeout process can begin in Phase 3.
