This lesson will guide you through the process of managing metadata in the system that can be used for Custom Reports.
Required Permissions: Manage Custom Reporting Data
Where to Start
1. Click on Reports.
2. Select Manage Custom Reporting Data.
Sharing Metadata
3. Search for the metadata category in the search bar.
4 Clicking a specific category will drill down to the matching columns associated with that category. Options 5 and 6 are available at the category and column levels.
5. Click the Edit icon to enable or disable that category/column. You also have the option to rename the category/column.
6. Click the Share icon to allow users to use this category in custom reports.
Sharing a category to other users will give them access to all associated columns within that category. If you want users to have access to a category but not certain columns, click the category to see a list of the matching columns. Click the Share icon next to the column you want edit. You can specify which users will have access to that particular column.
