This lesson will walk you through the process of enabling Live Citizenship within Gradebook.
The ability to enter/edit Citizenship grades is directly related to grading period setup. The entry field is only "live" while the grading period window is open.
Q. Who can use this feature?
A. Everyone! For ISI clients, it will benefit when posting Secondary Grades via the Illuminate Gradebook. For both ISI/DnA clients, it will benefit by having Citizenship displayed in the Student Profile & Portal throughout the year.
Q. Does this feature talk to Elementary Report Cards?
A. It currently does not.
Q. How does it work?
A. Each Gradebook now has a “Display Citizenship” option under Setup > Preferences > Other.
Q. What Citizenship Grades are available?
A. This setup is controlled by your System Admins, via the Grade List page. For DnA clients, this will likely need to be set up before Live Citizenship course grade mapping will be available. See A- Grade Mark List to properly set up the citizenship grades.
Q. Why do I need to use the Course Grade to Course Grade Mapping page?
A. For ISI users, this page is not new. Prior to Posting Grades, this was the page users were prompted with, ensuring the Course Grades aligned with the overall grades in the Gradebook. Doing so ensured Citizenship marks would be accepted on the Post Grades page, confirming the course is valid and active. Now this step has just been bumped up in priority and won’t need to be seen again for the remainder of the academic year (unless you choose to make modifications).
Where to Start

1. Click the Gradebook tab.
2. Select My Gradebooks. Click on the title of your Gradebook.

3. Select Setup, then Preferences.

6. Map your Grades accordingly.
Note: This step is required prior to entering in Citizenship grades, as it lets the system know the Course is valid/active.
