TIP: If you wish to write a goal and objectives for a student it is imperative that a strength be created in the Student Strengths section AND that strength be addressed in the Demonstrated Needs section of the IEP. For example, if you wish to write a speech and language goal for a student, you must first create a strength in the Student Strengths section, then address it within a Demonstrated Need Area (e.g. Academic, Behavioral, Communication, etc.) with baseline data and other information, AND select Yes that the Demonstrated Need must be addressed by Goals/Objectives within the IEP. For more information on creating goals and objectives see the, "Create, Edit, and/or Delete Goals & Objectives" chapter in this manual.
