ISE Permissions Descriptions

The Bulletin Widget Permissions allow the system admin to control which messages appear on the bulletin.

All other permissions can remain set to "default" as they are not part of the Special Education Module.

Note:The bulletin will display for all sites. We recommend granting these permissions only to the system administrator.

Code Management allow users to modify and customize information that appears in certain drop-downs and menus within the IEP and REED.

Manage Duplicate Students allows users to merge duplicate students.

Favorites allows users to make a custom report appear on the District Favorites widget on the Dashboard for all users.

All other permissions can remain set to "default" as they are not part of the Special Education Module.

The Sites permissions allow users to add, delete, and modify Sites in the Administration module.

The modify permission is necessary to add/change Instructional Weeks and Total Building Clock Hours.

The Permissions settings allow users to modify and copy permissions.

The Roles permissions allow users to create, delete, or modify the roles that exist in ISE.

All other permissions can remain set to "default" as they are not part of the Special Education Module.

Sharing permissions allow users to share reports district-wide or with sites other than their own.

Users permissions allows the manual creation of users, modification of user information, and the ability to impersonate a user.

All other permissions can remain set to "default" as they are not part of the Special Education Module.

Note:Become another user allows users to impersonate ANY user in the system and inherit his/her permissions. This should be used with caution.

Admin Validation Logs allows users to see the data that was imported via the nightly or manual data load process.

This also grants users access to the import error reports.

Focus Referral Permissions-Enables the REED

Focus Encounter-Grants access to the Medicaid Provider Caseload, Student Encounters, and Student Providers links under the Medicaid tab.

ISE MDR Permission-This is the base permission for the MDR

MDR Delete-Allows a user to delete the MDR

MDR Modify-Allows a user to modify an OPEN MDR

MDR Publish Override-Allows a user to go into a Published MDR

MDR Undelete-Allows a user to undelete a deleted MDR

MDR View-Allow a user to view the MDR but not edit it.

ISE SOP Permission-This is the base permission for SOP.

SOP Delete-Allows a user to delete the SOP

SOP Modify-Allows a user to edit an OPEN SOP

Override Published SOP-Allows a user to go back into a Published SOP

SOP Undelete-Allows a user to undelete a deleted SOP

SOP View-Allows a user to view a SOP but not edit it

These permissions should remain set to the default.

The Focus December Counts Time Capsule is a legacy feature of the system.

These permissions grant users the ability to delete evaluation logs, modify extension dates, create evaluation logs, modify evaluation logs, and view evaluation logs.

Note:The above permissions only allow for these types changes when the REED is in the "Open" status.

Invitation Required in Order to Publish an IEP - Access to invitation required in order to publish an IEP.

This permission affects:

• new IEPs
• IEP Amendments
• NPSP Amendments
• NPSPs

Functionality:

1. When this permission is set to Yes and an invitation has been created while creating/amending an IEP/NPSP, a message displayed in green stating, "An invitation has been created", appears.
2. When this permission is set to Yes and an invitation has not beenc reated while creating/amending the IEP/NPSP, a message displayed in red stating, "An invitation has not been completed and must be completed before the process can be published. To make and send the invitation, click here",appears. Selecting click here takes the user to the Invitation page within the IEP Process. Users will not be able to publish the IEP/IEP Amendment process until an invitation has been completed.
3. When this permission is set to No and a user is creating/amending an IEP/NPSP, a message does not appear.
