This guide contains a sample to assist with creating a custom report and form letter to distribute Parent Portal access keys to parents.
Where to Start
This guide assumes you have already imported or manually added parent portal accounts to DnA. To do this, see the guides Importing Parent Portal Accounts (for DnA Users) or Manually Managing Parent Portal Accounts (for DnA Users).
1. Create a Custom Report
Create a custom report with the columns from the following categories and filter as needed:
Students: Demographics
- ID: Local Student ID
- Student Name (Last, First)
- Current Grade Level
Enrollment
- Enrollment is Current?
Roster
- Roster is Current?
- Teacher is Current?
Teachers/Users
- User Name (Last, First)
Parent Portal
- Parent Last Name
- Parent First Name
- Parent Access Key
- Parent is Registered?

Can't find the Parent Portal columns? Contact your Customer Success Manager or the Support team to install and share these columns.

2. Add a Form Letter
