First and foremost, congratulations on transitioning to a new SIS!
This document will help outline the current process for extracting key ISI data from Illuminate Education, ISI.
Transitioning with a Partner SIS
Our partners include: Aeries, Skyward, Infinite Campus, and Aequitas.
If you have selected one of these companies and are ready for the data exchange process, we ask that you work with your selected company to provide us with SFTP credentials for where they want us to place the files. The following will be required: Host, Username, Password, Port, and the directory for where they want the files placed.
The District Admin will then send a ticket to isisupport@illuminateed.net and title it “Migration to (Company Name)” and provide us with the SFTP credentials. This ticket will be sent directly to the Product Success team, where they will then install several flat files containing your district’s data, and create nightly automations to send to the SFTP server specified in the ticket. The turnaround time will be anywhere from 24-48 hours.
Transitioning with Another SIS
If you have decided to go with another SIS, then worry not as the above process remains virtually the same; the main difference is that direct communication between us and your chosen SIS may be limited. If the SIS is requesting data outside of our provided files, then this information will have to be retrieved by creating a custom report within Illuminate Education.
To initiate the process of extracting and sending the flat files, the District Admin should send a ticket to isisupport@illuminateed.net and title it “Migration to (Company Name)” and provide us with the SFTP credentials. This ticket will be sent directly to the Product Success team, where they will then install the flat files containing your district’s data, and create nightly automations to send to the SFTP server specified in the ticket. The turnaround time will be anywhere from 24-48 hours.
Please note, this process is standardized for all non-partner SIS’ and customizations to this process are limited.
