This article will walk through how to set up Transportation for Medicaid Bus Attendance. This will allow one to then use/document bus attendance for a student who is using specialized transportation. NOTE: This article is not meant to determine who should be added to Transportation.
Base permissions: Medicaid Module and Focus Medicaid Module
Edit Transportation/Bus Logs
For ISE only users select Medicaid -> Transportation.
For Multi-product users select Special Ed -> Transportation.
The following steps should be used when setting up a new bus or removing a bus within the system.
1. Select Bus to open up the Bus Tab.
2. Select Buses from the dropdown.
3. Select the School District using the dropdown options.
1. Type the name of the bus.
2. Select Add a Bus.
1. Select the Date the bus should be removed.
2. Select Remove
1. Once on the Transportation Page select Bus and then Buses from the dropdown.
2. Select the District from the dropdown.
3. Click on the name of the bus that you would like to add a student to.
4. Begin typing the student's name.
1. Locate the student from the results.
2. Select the Start Date for the bus.
3. Select Add.
1. Once on the Transportation Page select the Bus Tab and then Buses from the dropdown.
2. Select the District from the dropdown.
3. Click on the name of the bus that you would like to remove a student(s) from.
4. To select multiple students check the box next to the students' names and then select the date that all of the checked students should be removed as of.
5. To select individual students and/or dates enter the Remove Date.
6. Select Remove.
1. Once on the Transportation Page select the Bus Tab.
2. Select Bus Transfer.
1. Select the District.
2. Select the bus the student(s) are transferring from.
1. Select the Destination Bus.
2. Select the Effective Date.
3. Select the Student(s) that should be transferred.
4. Select Move Students.
1. Once on the Transportation Page select the Bus Tab and then Bus Merge from the dropdown.
1. Select the District.
2. Select the Buses. NOTE: Hold the CTROL Key to select multiple.
3. Enter the name of the New Bus Name/Number.
4. Select Save.
1. Once on the Transportation Page select the Bus Tab.
2. Bus History from the dropdown.
1. Select the Start Date.
2. Select the End Date.
3. Select the Site from the dropdown.
4. Select Search.
1. To edit a bus deleted date select the date.
2. Select Save.
NOTE: This should be used with extreme caution.
1. Once on the Transportation Page select the Student Tab.
2. Select Student Bus History from the dropdown.
1. The system will take you to Student Search IF you do not already have a student in your Studen Ribbon in order to locate the Student you would like to see the bus history for.
2. Use the search filters/options and then select Search or select the student from your My accessed student(s).
3. Select the student from the Search Results.
1. Adjust (as appropriate) the Start Date and then Enter an End Date.
2. Select the Paper Icon to save the adjusted dates.
3. To delete a bus log select the Check Box in the Delete column and then select the RED X.
