In this lesson, you will learn how to log into Illuminate with your ClassLink Single Sign-On (SSO) account.
Retrieve Your Site & ClassLink Account Information
Illuminate System Admins will provide account and site information. To get started, make sure to retrieve the following information to log in and get illuminated:
- District site's URL for Illuminate Education (e.g., districtname.illuminateEd.com)
- A username and password for ClassLink
- Computer and Internet access
Sign in with ClassLink Launchpad
Once ClassLink has been configured within your district's site, add the Illuminate Education app to your ClassLink Launchpad. Select the app to access your site.
If your email addresses do not match, you will asked to link your ClassLink and Illuminate accounts together the first time you use ClassLink for single sign-on, after that you will not be presented with the login or link account screens any more. This process is described in a section below.
Sign in with ClassLink SSO
Select the ClassLink icon at the bottom of the login screen. If you have a current ClassLink session active, you will be immediately logged into Illuminate. If you do not have a current ClassLink session, you will be prompted with the ClassLink login screen. Once you log into ClassLink, you will be immediately redirected back into Illuminate with no additional login required.
'If the email address does not match between ClassLink and Illuminate Education, the user will receive an 'Account not found' error message. To resolve this issue they should contact their system admin.'
