Illuminate does not truly support multiple versions of Online Testing at this time. This is a workaround that only applies to Manual/Hybrid assessments.

This information is starting off assuming that you have already created your different Version answer keys, have uploaded Materials to your assessment and are ready for Online Testing.

This particular example will apply to having 2 versions of an assessment, but the process will be the same for additional versions.

    If testing in Portal:

    1. Within your assessment, go to Administration > Online Testing
    2. Click Test in Portal
    3. Add students taking Version 1 to roster*
    4. Attach Inline Booklet for Version 1 under Administration Settings
    5. Save Roster

    *When selecting students you can:

    • Hold CTRL (or CMD for Mac) + Click to select individual students
    • Hold SHIFT + Click the first and last student to select all students in the range

    1. Click Test in Portal
    2. Add students taking Version 2 to roster
    3. Attach Inline Booklet for Version 2 under Administration Settings
    4. Save Roster

    If testing with Quick Code:

    1. Within your assessment, go to Administration > Online Testing
    2. Click Test with Quick Code
    3. Click Edit
    4. Attach Inline Booklet for Version 1 under Administration Settings
    5. Save Roster
    6. Click Test with Quick Code
    7. Click Edit
    8. Attach Inline Booklet for Version 2 under Administration Settings
    9. Save Roster
    10. Direct student to illuminate.online and provide Access Code based on Version student is going to take

Please be sure to only add students to one roster. Having students in multiple rosters can cause issues with their online testing experience (like seeing the incorrect booklet).

At this point, students are ready to take the assessment online. They take the Version they were assigned based on the Inline Booklet linked to the roster. However, there is an additional step after students have completed their assessment to ensure students are scored appropriately based on the version they took.

    Once students complete the assessment:

    1. Go to Administration > Enter/Edit > View: Students with Data > Find Students
    2. All students will have Version 1 listed on Enter/Edit
    3. Find appropriate students based on Online Test Rosters to adjust version number to correspond with the version they actually took

I am looking for the same functionality in the manual hybrid assessment for online testing. It looks like you can set up the assessment, but then have to use the camera grading for multiple versions.
