According to the definition adopted by the California State Board of Education (SBE), the "socioeconomically disadvantaged subgroup" consists of students who meet either one of two criteria:

    • Neither of the student's parents has received a high school diploma.
    • The student is eligible for the free or reduced-price lunch program.

When we get data from California clients we usually get both 'Parent Education Level' and Free/Reduced Lunch data.
In Arizona they do not track the 'Parent Education Level' so it is only based off the Free/Reduced Lunch data.
