Illuminate provides two different ways for students to access an online assessment-- through the (1) Student Portal, or a (2) Quick Access Code. Both methods require different setup and login processes.

Option 1: Testing with Student Portal

    • Setup testing session with Test in Portal button.
    • Teachers choose the students who need to take the assessment. The online testing page will display Students: N (N = number of students).
    • Students log into your district-specific portal website: DISTRICT.illuminateHC.com
    • Students log in with a Username and Password. Users can check student usernames by going to Students > Manage Portal Access in Illuminate (permission-based).
    • Students then click Take an Assessment > then click the title of the assessment.

Option 2: Testing with Quick Codes

    • Setup testing session with Test with Quick Code button.
    • Teachers do not choose the students who need to take the assessment. The online testing page will display Students: 0 at first. Once students begin logging in with their student ID (or email, username) and Quick Code, the student count will increase.
    • Students log in at illuminate.online (redirects to https://testing.illuminateed.com/auth/quick). They will need their student ID and the Quick Access code for the testing session.
