Teams will be briefly introduced/refreshed on select eduCLIMBER functions, will have time to determine a goal for the upcoming 2019-20 school year, will learn to use eduCLIMBER to facilitate their goal, and will leave with a plan of action.

    This session will provide a high-level overview of how districts can use eduCLIMBER to support the RtI system. By incorporating data visualization and analysis, meetings, interventions, collections, tags, and smartFORMS (all features supported by eduCLIMBER), the RtI system will flow from one step to the next making the RtI system in the district one seamless process while promoting success and growth for all students. By the end of this session, attendees will be able to more easily implement the RtI process of identifying students of need, creating and implementing a plan, collecting data, analyzing progress, and making evidence-based decisions.

    This session is intended for all levels of classroom teachers who are interested in using data to guide their teaching practices. Participants will use eC to analyze data trends and gaps.  The data within the teacher’s eduCLIMBER system will be used to develop action plans for the new school year. Prior to the session, participants should ensure their eduCLIMBER platform is up-to-date with current class rosters and data (speak with the eduCLIMBER site administrator(s)). We will also take a look at creating groups of data using eduCLIMBER’s Collections and the Achievement Dashboard (time permitting). Having Achievement Dashboard access is a plus, but not required.

     

    (Full-day session - $150) eC Power User: Data Analysis and Strategic Planning for Leaders (Presenters: Kendall Bakas and Brian Green)

    Session Type: eC Focused

    Roles that Benefit: Specialist, Site Administrator, District Administrator, System Administrator

    This session is intended for all educational leaders.  Participants will use eC to analyze organizational data trends and gaps.  The information gleaned from data analysis will be used to develop strategic plans, building/program action plans, data protocol processes, PLC timelines, data conversation timeline, organizational best practices game-plan using eC (i.e. collections/Achievement Dashboard/Program Evaluation/Analytics/Scatter-Plot Analysis/Risk Factor), and more.  Prior to the session, participants should have eC navigational experience and eC access to building/district level data. Having Achievement Dashboard access is a plus, but not required.

     

    (Full-day session - $150) Make Dashboards and Data Collections Work For You! (Presenters: Katie Sellstrom and James Fleming)

    This session is for eduCLIMBER and Achievement Dashboard leaders interested in scoping out a ready-to-launch plan. You can use this session to reboot or re-envision your current use of eduCLIMBER data collections or to think about how you can leverage the Achievement Dashboard.  In this full day session we will walk you through (1) a planning and goal setting exercise to help you select the data visualizations you need to help users make meaning of their data, (2) a change management activity for communicating your launch and ongoing use, (3) and a data protocol you can adapt for your users to guide them from data analysis to action.  You will walk away with tools and resources you can use immediately with slide decks too. The target audience for this session is a team including site and district leaders familiar with their local accountability plans or dashboarding needs paired with a district lead for eduCLIMBER/Achievement Dashboard.

    ALERT: stop doing the wrong thing with the right data. This session is intended for educational leaders, counselors, psychologists, interventionists and instructional coaches. Participants will be introduced to best practices and research around the use of early alert protocols. This information will be used to develop early alert protocols using the eC Threshold feature. Participants will leave with new ways to think about early alert concepts and participants will actively create one or more early alerts in eduCLIMBER using Thresholds. Prior to the session participants should have eC navigational experience and eC access to Thresholds.

    Building leadership is a role that requires constant vigilance and the collection of important data.  This session will walk through the day of a school principal and reveal a variety of uses of the DnA system that pertain to effective building leadership and to those who support and supervise building leaders.  Participants are welcome to share their uses of DnA and/or their needs pertaining to DnA as building leaders as topics of discussion. Other topics covered will include supporting parent meetings with effective data, supporting staff evaluations with unique data sets, collecting non-academic data on students to guide school improvement and improve school culture.
